Stake limits
Since 2025, a single spin on an online slot is capped at £5 for adults aged 25 and over and £2 for those aged 18 to 24. The limit applies on every UK-licensed site and to every slot game.
Design rules
- A spin must take at least 2.5 seconds.
- Autoplay is not allowed.
- A result that pays back less than the stake must not be celebrated as a win.
- Your total time playing and net position must be visible during a session.
What it means for you
The rules slow play down and make losses visible. They are not a budget. Decide on your own limit first and set it in your account.
